This Fabulous Oman tour includes all the major sights of Oman including cityscapes of Muscat and the iconic mosque, Cultural Capital of Nizwa and its impressive fort and souq, Oman’s own grand canyon in Jabel Shams, have thrilling dune bashing in Wahiba Sands Desert, explore coastal town of Sur, and the land of frankincense, Salalah before departing back to your home.

Day 1: Muscat Upon arrival in Muscat International Airport, meet and greet by our company representative in the arrivals section of the airport before transferring to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Muscat. Day 2: Muscat City Tour On your second day of tour, after a good breakfast at your hotel, you will be met at your hotel for full day Muscat City Tour. We start our tour by a visit to one of the biggest mosques in Middle East, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and time to marvel at the intricate designs and workmanship behind it. Next up, we visit Seeb Fish Market and onwards Natural History Museum to experience Oman’s History and Culture. In the afternoon, we drive towards Qantab Beach, among the finest beaches in Muscat and after spending some time there, we drive through the Muttrah Corniche area to visit Bait Al Zubair Museum and we have photo stops scheduled for residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, Al Alam Palace and the two 16th century Portuguese forts which flank it, Mirani and Jalali. During evening, you will be spending time for shopping souvenirs and Omani specialties like Handicrafts and silver items in Muttrah Souq before concluding your tour and transferring back to your hotel for overnight stay. Day 3: Nizwa After a nice breakfast, we check out from the hotel for commencing our tour to Nizwa. We start off by visiting 17th century Jabrin Castle, which is among the finest examples of castle architecture in Oman with beautiful plasterwork, carved doors and painted wooden beams in ceilings. After Jabrin castle, we visit Bahla, the hub of pottery in Oman and among oldest small towns in Oman. Also visit Bahla Fort which just opened to public after completion of its long restoration work. We also visit potter’s workshop in Bahla (tour not conducted on Fridays and Public Holidays). After the tour, back to hotel for overnight stay. Day 4: Jabel Shams Tour Today after breakfast at hotel, we start our tour of Nizwa by visiting the iconic Nizwa Fort, among the finest forts in Oman and its wonderful Nizwa Souq which lies adjacent to each other. After spending some time in both these places, we make our way to Al Hamra and Misfah to explore the 2 of oldest villages in Nizwa Region. The mud houses made in traditional way are around 400 years old and are still occupied. The Falaj or Irrigation system used in the village is a recognized UNESCO Site due to its effectiveness in assisting irrigation and water supply in the area. Shortly after drive to Wadi Gul and Wadi Nakhar, which are remote villages at drop point of canyon. Next stop is Jabel Shams, among the highest peaks of Hajar Mountain Range and lovingly called as Grand Canyon of Oman. You will be treated to a picnic lunch and we get back to hotel after the tour for overnight stay. Day 5: Wahiba Sands Tour After a scrumptious breakfast, check out from your hotel for our tour to Wahiba Sands, through Birkat Al Mauz and Ibra. Wahiba Sands is a hotspot for photographers due to its red and white sands and the amazing patterns of the dunes. Your tour includes exciting dune bashing also and after the tour, you can watch beautiful sunset from desert on top of dunes which is very memorable. Have a nice barbeque dinner and overnight at desert camp. Day 6: Sur Today we start our way towards the coastal town of Sur and our first destination is Wadi Bani Khalid which is known as one of the most beautiful Wadis in Oman due to its turquoise clear waters and its tranquil setting amongst barren mountains. You can take a refreshing swim in the waters before proceeding to Sur. Sur is famous for its dhow building industry and shipyard. Spend some time in Sur before having an early dinner after which you will visit Ras Al Jinz Turtle Sanctuary to view green turtles nesting and laying eggs. After the tour, back to hotel for overnight stay. Day 7: Muscat – Salalah Today, after breakfast, we check out of the hotel and make our way back to Muscat. The drive is scenic with our landscape changing from scenic to rugged mountains and traversing through fishing towns. Enroute we stop at Bibi Miriam Mausoleum (photostop) in Qalhat. We visit Wadi Tiwi also, which is very beautiful and provides ample retreat from hustle and bustle of city. Explore the dates and lemon plantations before proceeding to Fins Beach. Have picnic lunch enroute and drive to Muscat and stop at Bimah Sinkhole and Wadi Arbaeen taking pics at both places. Evening, you will be dropped at Muscat airport to get flight to Salalah, the paradise of Middle East. Day 8: On the 8th day of our tour, we wake up in Salalah and have nice breakfast at our hotel. We start our tour by visiting Museum of Frankincense Land at Al Balid which is an ancient harbour having excellent works of art and rich cultural heritage. We make photo stops at beautiful Shanfari Mosque and official palace of Sultan (Al Husn Palace). We take a stroll through the Haffah Souq where you can buy top quality frankincense and other Dhofari Souvenirs. When taking a stroll through the souq, you will be filled with nice fragrance of Frankincense and you will have ample opportunity for shopping gold or silver or other unique omani gifts before your transfer back to hotel for overnight stay. Day 9: East and West Salalah Tour We start our tour today by visiting the eastern part of Dhofar Region. We visit Taqah Town and its fort which acted as the seat of Wali (Mayor) up to 1984. We visit Sumhuram and the exploration of ruins gives valuable insights into how people lived about 2000 years ago and the architecture used in the famous town. Khor Rhori, a nearby port acted as important trade centre and played an important part in the export of Frankincense. We reach Bin Ali’s Tomb shortly and know about his legacy and he is deeply revered across the region as a wise and holy man and as a tribute to him, twin domed mosque was built. Adjacent to the mosque, we can view a cemetery also. Next up in our tour is Mirbat, which is known for its old merchant houses all of which is built in Omani architecture of past. On our way back to Salalah we visit Ayn Razat Gardens in a calm and beautiful setting. Afternoon, we change the direction of our tour to western part of Salalah and go towards Mughsail beach. We pass several Frankincense trees scattered across the terrain. Mughsail beach is famous for its fabulous Blowholes or water fountains. We finish our tour by visiting Tomb of Prophet Job or Ayub as he is called in Oman in the mountainous area north of Salalah. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Salalah. Day 10: Departure from Salalah Today after breakfast from hotel, we check out and make our way towards airport for our flight to Muscat and to our onward destination.
