Day 1: Ras Al Jinz Tour – Today we start our tour and we commence the journey along the coastal road to Sur. It’s a scenic drive as you can see the splendid countryside and rugged mountains throughout your journey to the Quriyat town. Our tour will take us further deep into Wadi Arbaeen and in between we see nice villages with sprawling dates, lemon and mango plantations. We stop at each place with ample time for taking photo at each of these places. We reach Wadi Arbaeen which looks like an oasis in between mountains. Its known among locals as one of the most beautiful wadis in Oman and crystal clear blue water will entice you to take a nice dip before leaving Wadi Arbaeen. Enroute to Fins beach next we stop at the Bimah Sinkhole situated along the coastal road in Bimah. Take some pics and proceed to Fins Beach. Enjoy your time in Fins Beach before getting back to your car for your next stop at Wadi Tiwi, which is famous for its lemon and date plantations. We reach the town of Sur next. Sur is famous for its dhow shipyard although the shipyard operation is almost completely stopped. Spend some time marvelling at the intricate workmanship behind each dhow and have an early dinner before proceeding to Ras Al Jinz Turtle Sanctuary where you can see Green turtles nesting and laying their eggs. Its fascinating to remember that turtles travel thousands of miles to find a suitable nesting spot to lay their eggs and hatch their eggs. Spend some time in Ras Al Jinz before your transfer back to hotel for overnight stay. Day 2: Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands Tour Today, we have a good breakfast at hotel and after checking out from hotel we proceed to Wadi Bani Khalid. Oman has many wadis which can be viewed as oasis in middle of hot and barren landscape and is so refreshing to see and experience a dip in its crystal clear waters is a must do activity. After spending some time in Wadi Bani Khalid, we start our way towards desert. Our afternoon is for us to experience Wahiba Sands. We drive into Wahiba Sands on our 4x4 vehicle. It’s a treat to our eyes to watch the patterns in the dunes changing every now and then and you can’t take enough photos to provide justice to it. In our 4x4 vehicle our driver takes us through the dunes and we can experience exciting sand dune driving and trust us it’s a real good experience. We later arrive at the home of Bedouin family inside the Wahiba desert where an authentic Arabian lunch is readied for you and you will be having the lunch and experience the hospitality of Bedouin people. If you feel like you can have a short camel ride, you can opt for that too. After the tour you will be taken back to Muscat for your onward journey.
